📖 - Welcome to the Cookbook for a Sacred Life

I’m about an hour outside of Atlanta in Carrollton GA and am glad to hear of the local community!

When I moved I to my first “adult” house, the only thing left in it was this strange square book. I kept turning it in different directions and thinking - how weird!

25 years later I found it again, and learned, and started to understand some things. I’ve come to love Ram Dass and the practice of chanting. I especially loved the cookbook because I was longing for specific, actionable answers.

My intentions for now is to stick with this course, and reach out locally!

Thank you for hosting this wonderful resource.

Peace, all! Kristi here, living in Eastern Ontario. I’m a practising yogi, and Hanuman has been in my heart for a long time, but I only began turning on to Ram Dass’ teachings in depth this last year. I was particularly intrigued after studying an online course with Krishna Das, and began listening to Ram Dass lectures online. I recently read Be Here Now, and I’m feeling some sweet peace around learning and playing in the Cookbook with you beauteous souls.

Hello, I am Mark, from Richmond Virginia.

I have been aware of Ram Dass for many years. I have been loitering around the trailhead of this path for a long time, and I hope that this course might help me to take a few steps onto the path.

Hi I live on the CT shoreline. I can’t remember the first time I heard Ram Dass. Maybe via Alan Watts recordings. I listen to his talks and meditations on YouTube all the time and got the Be Here Now / Cookbook in the mail yesterday. Looking forward to this!

Hello folx!

I’m Sam, I live in Forest of Dean, England.

I ‘met’ Ram Dass (or The Glorious Big RD as I call him :stuck_out_tongue: ) about 4 years ago - he’s my go to spot for spiritual guidance with humour…

I’m honoured to be on this course with you - I’m hoping to become more grounded in my spiritual path, and less tethered to my earth-bound ‘work’ path.

Greetings everyone, I am Siva from Nassau, Bahamas. I first learned about Ram Dass through the documentary, ‘Becoming Nobody’ last year. I have since read 'Be Here Now" and have started listening to the podcast from the beginning. I’m now on episode 19. I started daily meditaion practice two years ago and am a regular visitor to the Sivananda Ashram here. I intend to further my spiritual development through this course. Om Namah Sivaya!

I saw Ram Dass give a talk in Dec. 1973 and then read Be Here Now. Have been. Tibetan Buddhist for 25 years. I enjoyed the 10 day meditation course. Have read a number of Ram Dass’ books over the last 10 years including Being Ram Dass. I hope to deepen my practice by taking this course.

Hello, I’m Cristina, currently residing in London, UK. I first heard about Ram Dass in the book The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide by James Fadiman, Ph.D. I have not yet read the book.
My intention is to get back into a practice of introspection.

I’m Marilyn Atteberry, a California girl presently living in Sparks, NV. A fan of Ram Dass for about 50 years, I was introduced to personal development classes and “Be Here Now” in about 1975 and my well worn book is falling apart! I was inspired to create and teach awareness courses in the 70’s and am still so engaged as a licensed Avatar Master. My husband and I are creating a business called Boomer-to-Bloomer to inspire retirees and beyond to learn tools to live the rest of their lives as healthy, aware, heart-centered contributors to themselves, their families, friends and the world. So happy to be here.
