📖 - Welcome to the Cookbook for a Sacred Life

Hello folks! I’m writing from the sunshine coast, BC, Canada. I first heard of Ram Dass when I found his book, Be Here Now, in a house in which I was living. Then a dear friend Sheila, told me more about him, I watched some videos and he just keeps coming back!
I’m so glad to be here to deepen my spiritual practice and continue on the path.

Hello to All. My name is Kristen and I am currently living in Aberdeen, SD, the ancestral territory of the Santee, Yankton, and Teton Lakota. Mindfulness Meditation has helped me get through some challenges this past year, and I want to develop a practice that more consistently allows me to navigate difficulties with equanimity while living in alignment with loving kindness. I’ve been slipping into negativity the past couple weeks, but I know it is only temporary. I am so grateful for a learning community where we can all help one another.

Hello friends!
My name is Danny, and I am from Manhasset, NY, but have been in Nepal for the last 4 weeks and am heading to Spain for the next 3-4 weeks! I heard about Ram Dass through a number of different podcasts (DTFH, Jack Kornfield) and other online courses (Commune). I am excited to have a community with which to engage over the next few weeks and am hoping to add a bit of stability and discipline to my practice!
Warmly,
Danny

Hi everyone. My name Is Jelena (pronounced Yelena) and I am based in Dubai. I think it was my interest in Transpersonal Psychology, and artists such as East Forest and Aubrey Marcus podcast that led me to Ram Dass’s teachings. My intention for joining this course is establishing a spiritual practice and to be in a community of like-hearted people.

Hi everybody,

I’m Louisa, I’m from the U.K., although I also own an Irish passport, so I’m not sure how to define myself in that way.

I’ve been learning from Ram Dass for over a decade now and I find these courses to be so beneficial. Thank you.

I read Be Here Now back when I first found Ram Dass, and I have tons of Ram’s other books. I think my favourite is Paths to God.

I found Ram when I was at a tricky point in my life, his words guided me through and I am always amazed by how incredibly poignant his teachings are, in any moment, even to this day. They’re like onions of meaning, with each layer more profound than the last.

A few more things about me: I’m a mother, first and foremost, and I write. Sometimes I get things published. I am also a yoga practitioner and now a ‘qualified’ teacher - although I think such a thing is hard to qualify.

My intention for being here is to reconnect to my practice, perhaps on an even deeper level (I love to go deeper, there’s always so much to discover and uncover, in terms of my understanding and any relevant meanings).

It’s great to be here and I look forward to getting to know some others who are also gently treading this path.

Hello everyone

I’m Daniëlle from the Netherlands. I found Ram Dass last year on the BeHereNow podcast. I love every episode so much. I also bought the book a couple of weeks ago. And I’m very interested to learn from this course :sunflower:
To grow with each other and be here now together! Thank you for this amazing community/course!

And maybe in the future we can have a Satsang in the Netherlands, that would be amazing to meet people who also have found Ram Dass and the community :four_leaf_clover:

Hello. I live in West Dorset in the UK. Thank you so much for creating this opportunity - very timely (of course!). I have listened to and read Ram Dass’s teachings over the years - the quote that I try and live by is “we are all walking each other home”. I’m really looking forward to walking this stretch of the walk with all of you.

Namaste, my name is Flor and live in Houston Texas. I discovered I was always headed to know about Ram Dass one way or the other, but Duncan Trussell was the main vehicle.

Very grateful for this opportunity again. I love the community and the classes. It’s a wonderful learning experience for me.

Can’t wait to meet many of you soon

Greetings from Philadelphia! I first heard of Ram Dass from podcasts hosted by Pete Holmes and Duncan Trussell.

I read BHN but ironically stopped at the “Cookbook” section – I have not read that part yet!

Hope/intention: move more from my mind to my heart.

I’m sure he does! David Nichtern often tells Duncan that many “Duncanites” find their way to Dharma Moon teacher trainings. And Midnight Gospell has reached so many…
